New Veterinary Emergency Services Announcement
Truckee, North Tahoe Veterinary Clinics are happy to announce that beginning October 23rd, 2009 we will be offering emergency services through Veterinary Emergency of Truckee (VET) at Donner Truckee Veterinary Hospital. This pet emergency service will be available by calling during the hours of 6:00pm Fridays to 9:00am Saturday and again at 6:00pm Saturday through Sunday and Sunday night to Monday at 9:00am. VET will also be available during the holidays. Area clinics will continue their normal office hours. Donner Truckee Veterinary Hospital will continue to remain open Monday through Saturday 8:30am to 5:30pm Participating clinics hope to expand the new emergency service hours next year when the new Donner Truckee Veterinary hospital is completed. We are proud to announce the addition of our new emergency doctor, Kristi Whitten DVM. Dr. Whitten will be taking the emergency calls for VET along with the assistance of our experienced and licensed nurses. Dr. Whitten has extensive experience with trauma care, critical care, other emergency care and soft tissue surgery for dogs and cats. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1999 and has practiced at different clinics since that time with a focus on emergency medicine since 2004 at Carson Tahoe Veterinary Hospital and at Animal Emergency Center in Reno. She is happy to be back in Truckee and now serving this community with her work. The Truckee North Tahoe area clinics happily welcome Kristi and hopes that this additional service to our community will meet the needs and desires of Truckee Tahoe locals, as well as the many people who visit our area.
